This poem is a take on the Love on the first site kind of story... tried putting in a happily ever after scenario at the end of this poem :-)

Currently no woman has served as an inspiration for this poem... so once again its completely based on the imagination.... I wrote two last paragraphs for this poem... the second one is

While this was the original ending, I some how found the ending given in the poem better... so changed it... However this ending seems cool too... so thought should share it :-)

Also sharing the English worded version, if you have a problem understanding the Devanagari Script

Fakta ekda baghitle me tula
Ani tu lagech ya mannat baslis
Toh ekach kshan puure hota
Jeevhav tu mala pahilyanda dislis

Fakta ekda baghitle me tula
Tujhe te hasu najuk an god
Tya othanchi jaadu ek nirali
Mala lavun gelis ek navin ood

Fakta ekda baghitle me tula
Ani tya zhuklelya nazaretun
Tujhe sundar dole bolale mala
Durava kasa ani ka sahan kela ajun

Fakta ekda baghitle me tula
Tu basli hotis thevun hatawar haat
Kasla bara tu itka vichar kartes
Mala hi yayache ahe tujha tya jagat

Fakta ekda baghitle me tula
Ani tya kshani applay dole milale
Dolech mag kay te bolu lagle
Doghanchehi hasu ekdum fulun aale

Fakta ekda baghitle me tula
Watle he kshan kadhi na sampvave
Eka navin kahanichi surwat karun
Tujhach barobar aayukshya rangvave

The alternate ending ...

Fakta ekda baghitle me tula
Watle ha kshan kadhi na sampava
Eka navin kahanichi surwat karun
Tujhach barobar ha parat jagava...

Have a good time reading it... and if not already found ... may you find your special one :-)

  1. The joy of reading such good poems/stories half the time (at least in my opinion) is to be able to imagine the scene unfolding inside our minds, and to be able to let our thoughts run free....interpret the scene from different angles and reread the poem/prose with that in mind.
The disclaimer that there was no girl involved in inspiring you to write this was a bit of a bummer to me, and I disagree. There is definitely a girl involved, at least in your imagination :-)

Also, since you are giving a transliteration....maybe a translation is in order too for people who cannot understand Marathi...huh :-).

  2. Sri --- thanks for that detailed feedback...

Well at least currently, no gal is involved... and as you say... I have a wonderfully weird imagination :D ... that helps a lot in getting out the details... and yes I said woman... not girl... :P

I will try to work on the translation for sure... However that will take sometime... :-)

  5. Waise... the translation is not for me.. its' just for your words to break the barriers of language :-). I'll be honoured if I am able to play even a small part in inspiring you to write beautiful poems in Marathi and beautiful prose in English on the same subject. Can also be a published book sometime in the future :-). I'll be one of the first to buy it then...
